Welcome to my Blogspot!

Welcome to my very first blogpost. Having had the good fortune to teach in the same school, same room, for 27 years means I have developed a career while developing relationships with the community and truly feel like my teaching family and my personal family are closely related. I teach in a small building that is part of a larger district. I am the only second grade teacher in my building which is considered an outlying school. I am excited to delve into the world of blogging and hope to share many things that I have learned and am yet learning. I have discovered Whole Brain Teaching and will share my thoughts about this effective teaching and learning tool. I will also share many curriculum ideas that I have used in my classroom.
